We are delighted to announce the date of this year's Leeds Half Marathon- it will be on Sunday September 7 2008.

The council is fully behind the rearranged event after it was originally stood down in favour of combining support for the race with the Jane Tomlinson Run for All.

However, after having listened to feedback from runners across the city, the council has pulled out all the stops in working with running clubs to sort out a new date for the city-based race.

The marathon effort included negotiating with the Kippax Harriers to rearrange the planned date of the Leeds Country Way run, which was pencilled in for September 7 but will now take place on August 31 instead.

Postal application forms will be available the first week of May or you can now enter on line at Runners World using the link below.
