Tracey Morris attends a CiRF course

Report by Bob Jackson (April 2011)

Tracey Morris, of Leeds club Valley Striders, and who represented Great Britain in the Marathon in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, has been attending the first ever Coach in Running Fitness course in the North of England, which has been run in Wigan.

The course consists of 4 days attending sessions, intermediate course work, running a training group and mentoring an athlete, this spread over a period of nearly 5 months.

Although she is still only part way through the course, England Athletics have obviously decided the format is successful as dates have been announced for 4 more courses in the North of England in 2011.

Tracey’s course fees were partially subsidised by the Leeds Athletics Network.
